I know this should be entered as an Idea, but I want to start a conversation here too.
Being able to change contact/account/object data, like you can do with an Update rule, should be available in the Campaign Canvas. I've looked at the data tool cloud connectors only to become more confused.
It could be as simple as choosing an object and field, and entering a value/string and choosing an update type (append, replace, etc)... that's all. Some variable conditions would be nice, but not required.
This would save us SO much time and trouble. In order to do this now, we have to push members over to a program... of which we have to have a program for EACH campaign, of which we have to have an Update Rule for EACH Campaign.
This just isn't "automation" in my book.
I am hoping that the Campaign Canvas and Program builder are being seriously looked at by Eloqua/Oracle Product Development.
