Email Marketing Manager Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, strategy, and implementation of Logi Analytics B to B email programs. He/She will manage our customer and prospect databases in order to increase lead generation, improve customer loyalty and drive opportunity creation and market awareness. The Email Marketing Manager will be involved in email campaigns from conception to execution and will be accountable for its success and quantifiable results. The ideal candidate has a mix of analytical skills, attention to detail, creativity, great writing ability, and strong prior email experience with large lists.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Develop and execute all the company’s data-driven email marketing programs to generate leads, cross-sell customers, and nurture prospects.
- Work closely with Marketing Automation Manager to implement campaigns and report on campaign success through SFDC
- Formulate and execute end-to-end campaign plans to optimize key traffic and revenue metrics including open rates, CTR, engagement, and conversion.
- Manage list segmentation and develop segmentation strategies to increase engagement and to get the right message to the right person at the right time.
- Create, test, and send emails using Eloqua.
- Own all metrics, including deliverability, opens, and clicks, and use results to drive future action.
- Build and maintain email calendar
- Manage relationships with our Email Service Provider.
- Work closely with Marketing Automation Manager to implement lead scoring and demand waterfall model
- Stay current with email marketing best practices, strategies, and industry standards.
- Respond to email responses from outbound campaigns ongoing
- Create emails, landing pages, forms and reports within the marketing automation platform (MAP) to support lead nurturing programs.
- Leverage personalization and dynamic delivery of content to modularize lead nurturing programs by disqualification reason, persona, product or solution interest, or industry
- Contribute to the creation of effective landing pages for email programs
- Continuously optimize mailing strategies to drive higher returns including A/B and multivariate testing of subject lines, message content, images, offers, mailing frequency, segments, etc.
- Utilize the best email practices to ensure CAN-SPAM compliance
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in Marketing including Campaign Directors
- Driving email list growth strategies and execution across multiple channels, serving as email acquisition authority across the organization
- Prioritizing emails based on revenue potential and overall corporate strategy, as well as resource allocation
- Work with Sales to support and design prospecting campaigns
- Work with international marketing manager to develop and deploy campaigns
Qualifications:
- You have 3-5 years experience managing CRM based email marketing campaigns. You have strong previous email marketing experience, including creating and driving successful campaigns. You have the proven ability to communicate insights and action items driven from data. You have strong analytical and segmentation skills, as well as excellent email copywriting/editing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle short-term needs with overall strategy, to toggle between writing, production and data analysis. You are creative, highly organized, articulate, flexible, and very hands-on. Your ability to manage email programs from conception to production, including back-end analysis.
- Proven track record of managing successful email marketing campaigns.
- Excellent copy writing skills

- Ability to develop email strategies, segmentation, list management, and content management to optimize engagement and continuously improve results
- Clear understanding of marketing metrics and expertise in A/B testing and ROI analysis
- Creativity and desire to create new and innovative campaigns
- Outstanding oral communication skills
- In-depth experience with Eloqua/Marketo strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of email best practices including targeted lists, subject lines, messaging and deliverability
- Experience building business requirements for list segmentation, work flows and triggered events
